Hello and welcome to our club website :-
The BGE (Beers, Gears & Engineers) Cycling Club is based in Exeter, and offers cyclists the opportunity to take part in regular club rides, sportives and social evenings - the emphasis is on fun, increasing our fitness, supporting each other on the rides, and getting to know each other.
The club was originally founded by Howmet employees in Exeter. It is now open to cyclists from all over Exeter and the surrounding area and we have a 'no-drop' policy and ride leaders on all rides and strava routes for riders to follow.
Our main club ride is on Sunday with routes posted in advance on the website and facebook pages. We also have a regular Thurs evening ride which leaves at 1730pm every week (yes even in the winter!) with the rides posted out weekly on our Facebook page.
We like to think we bring something different to the Exeter Cycling scene, offering a unique experience, with a sense of fun, and a beer stop after most of our rides! We host Cadence Cafes throughout the year with coffee and cake in members gardens. These events raise money for Force Cancer, a charity close to our hearts, culminating in an annual presentation event at Force HQ.
